Scholarships

Scholarship applications for undergraduate (initial registration) and postgraduate scholarships, including the Rhonda Marriot scholarship are closed.

The Chief Nursing and Midwifery Office has a range of scholarships for nursing and midwifery students studying in Western Australia. The scholarships can help you:
  • become a nurse or midwife
  • to progress your career.

They have been offered to WA nurses and midwives since 1980.

Offering financial assistance ensures:

  • enough nurse and midwives are available for all health services
  • nurses and midwives know they are valued and supported
  • nurses and midwives are experts in their chosen fields
  • WA patients and community receive the very best patient care.

Scholarships are awarded, based on current and projected workforce requirements and for areas of high clinical need.

Priority is given to WA Health employees and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants.

Please note that scholarships are now granted for one academic semester only due to financial reporting requirements.  You will need to reapply for subsequent semesters of study.  The scholarship funding no longer covers you for the full academic year.
