Apply for a graduate position with WA Country Health Service
Do you want to work for Australia’s largest country health service and explore some of Western Australia’s most beautiful landscapes?
WA Country Health Service (WACHS) offers newly qualified enrolled nurses, registered nurses and midwives graduate positions through the 2025 GradConnect program.
The program offers a range of learning and development opportunities to help you kickstart your career or extend your skills into specialised roles – from medical to palliative care, maternity and more.
Beyond the excitement of work is the opportunity to explore many new places with a ‘waiting room’ that spans 2.55 million square kilometres – 10 times the size of the United Kingdom.
A career in country health also means:
- a chance to look after diverse country communities
- access to incentive payments (external site) from $5,000 to $17,000 depending on your location
- discounted health insurance premiums at select providers
- access to a range of incentives (external site)
- rotational programs to explore some of WA’s most beautiful landscapes while working.
In addition, newly qualified registered nurses and midwives who complete a WA Country Health Service graduate program via GradConnect may be eligible for the HECS-HELP initiative.
