Applications are now open for all newly qualified enrolled nurses, registered nurses and midwives to apply for a graduate or transition to practice program through GradConnect.

Using just one application, people can apply for employment opportunities in all participating public, private and aged care health providers in Western Australia.

Graduate programs are paid programs offering hands-on experience in a supportive environment. They provide experience in a wide range of clinical settings where graduates gain unique experiences that enrich their professional skillset.

When do I need to apply by?

Applications are open from 9am (AWST) Monday 23 February 2026 and close at 1pm (AWST) Wednesday 18 March 2026. Graduate or transition to practice programs vary in length, as well as start dates. All applications for programs due to start between July 2026 to June 2027 need to be submitted by 18 March 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.

What is GradConnect?

GradConnect is an online system managed by the Department of Health that enables newly qualified enrolled nurses, registered nurses and/or midwives access to a wide choice of employment opportunities through graduate (or transition to practice) programs.
