Peel Health Campus
In late 2020 the WA Government announced that full operation of the Peel Health Campus would transfer to South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) on the completion of the current contract with existing private operator Ramsay Health Care.
Peel Health Campus operations will transition to SMHS on 13 August 2024. Transitioning Ramsay staff will become SMHS employees and the information and communications technology (ICT) environment will transition to SMHS systems.
The transition of Peel Health Campus to South Metro Health is an opportunity to build on the outstanding work of Ramsay Health Care and paves the way for the hospital’s redevelopment and service transformation to meet the needs of the Peel-Murray region. It’s an exciting time for Peel Health Campus and a new chapter in its history.
Ramsay and SMHS are working closely to ensure a safe and seamless transition, with no disruption and minimal change to patients, visitors, volunteers and the community – same smiling faces, same high-quality care.
