Peel and Rockingham Kwinana

Peel and Rockingham Kwinana

Peel and Rockingham Kwinana (PaRK) Mental Health provides services to adults living in the communities of Kwinana, Rockingham, Mandurah, Pinjarra and Waroona.

We take pride in our strong links with our community partners and the community at large.

We focus on providing the best outcomes for our clients while offering a stimulating environment for our staff to develop as professionals.

Community and Older Adult Services

Community mental health services for adults and older adults are based in Rockingham and Peel. We provide a comprehensive range of services and programs for individuals, families and groups which include:

  • mental health assessment, treatment and ongoing care planning
  • support and education for families and carers
  • support, consultation and education to general practitioners, community agencies and general hospitals
  • mental health rehabilitation programs, including Intensive Day Therapy.

The following services operate from 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays):

  • Peel Community Mental Health Service (for adults aged 18-64)

Peel and Rockingham Kwinana (PaRK) Mental Health Assessment and Treatment Teams (ATT) are delivered in 2 sites:

  • Rockingham
  • Peel.

These services can be contacted on the numbers above from 8.30am to 10.00pm, 7 days a week.

Outside of these hours contact is via the Mental Health Emergency Response Line (MHERL) between 4.30pm and 10.00pm.

Inpatient Adult and and Older Adult Services

Consumers are supported to participate in the creation and implementation of their individual management plan to meet their needs, where possible developed in partnership with the treating Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT). A Peer Support Worker plays an active part in assisting the consumer to meet their needs.

Mimidi Park Mental Health Inpatient Unit (age 18+)

Mimidi Park provides 24-hour care.

Mental Health Hospital in the Home 

The Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MH HITH) service provides in-home daily mental health care for eligible patients who would otherwise need to be admitted to hospital.

Kara Maar Specialist Community Eating Disorders Service

The Kara Maar service is coordinated by South Metropolitan Health Service and provides comprehensive clinical assessment and treatment for individuals aged 16 years and over who have a diagnosed eating disorder.

This service is located at Cockburn and Mandurah and is available to consumers living within:

  • the south metropolitan catchment area – refer to the SMHS mental health catchment map (PDF 262KB) to see suburbs that fall within our catchment.
  • WACHS-Link regional areas (Southern Wheatbelt, Goldfields, South-West and Great Southern regional areas).

Mental Health Hospital in the Home

Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MH HITH) provides in-home daily mental health care for eligible patients who would otherwise need to be admitted to hospital.

A key focus of the service is the provision of interventions and support towards recovery.
