Through a network of specialist programs, we support people experiencing complex mental health challenges with services tailored to their unique needs.

These services are part of a broader commitment by SMHS to ensure that people across our communities can access the mental health support they need, close to home.

Refer to these services

• Kara Maar Specialist Community Eating Disorders Service – the specialist service delivers expert, multidisciplinary care to individuals aged 16 and over living with an eating disorder. The service combines medical, psychological, and nutritional support to promote long-term recovery, with access available throughout the SMHS catchment.
• YouthReach South – this service aims to improve the function and quality of life for young people with complex mental health needs who live in the south metropolitan and sections of the east metropolitan areas. The service provides counselling, therapy and care coordination to young people aged 13 to 24 years who experience barriers to accessing mainstream services.
